My Favorite Bloggers: Frugal Chic Living

Frugal Chic Living is another blog I love. Crystal does a great job with the weekly matchups for Fred Meyer (as well as other stores). Crystal just started offering a way to print a personalized list from her Fred Meyer matchups and I love it. As you go through the post, check off the items you want to add to your list. Then at the the end of the post, click Print My List and you'll be able to print the items you checked with the matchups. Great idea!

I asked Crystal what advice she would give to Coupon Newbies. Here is what she said:

"I think the #1 piece of advice I would give to a Coupon Newbie would be to take baby steps. New coupon users get SO excited when they see something that is FREE (or VERY cheap) and they exhaust themselves chasing down EVERY deal they see. It's hard to convince someone who's been paying $2 per tube of toothpaste that FREE toothpaste is pretty common & there's no need to make a special trip to a store across town for it. Focus on one or two stores that are nearby and start off with small transactions. Taking baby steps will help new coupon users gain confidence, prevent early burn-out (it should be fun - not hard work!) and save time."

Great advice, Crystal. Thanks!
